Bergbaude Kohlhaukuppe in Geising

The "Knoblauchbaude" is locked and assembled. But not enough people get lost here at the moment, so "cooking to take away" is not even worthwhile.

We were here today, one day before the second “lockdown”. It was very, very tasty and our dog was also looked after. We felt very welcome. We hope to come back next year.

Very, very delicious food .....

The observation tower alone is worth the trip, but you really have to go up for a great panoramic view.

We had a great climb to the Knoblauchbaude and were greeted there with extremely authentic hospitality. Appropriate portions and prices for garlic-tasting dishes for the garlic lover (there was also a good selection for the non-garlic lover;)). Delicious beer and incredibly good food together with a wonderful view - absolutely recommendable! We will definitely be back if we come back here again.

After a good 10 years I had to lead our weekend hiking group here. After a not so friendly email conversation, the visit was a highlight for everyone! Great dishes with lots of garlic, very tasty lemonades and also the beer was great 😉 The team on site was great, friendly, easy-going and never at a loss for a funny reaction, although we were definitely not the easiest group with 6 children. Thank you for this highlight and we will definitely be back!

A big compliment to the cook and the innkeepers. Delicious home-made food with lots of garlic in a cozy atmosphere. Definitely won't be the last time. 😋 Service was friendly and warm. You noticed that you are welcome in this hut. Recommendation on my part to 100% 👍

Come here during a hike. It fit slles! Nice location, great food and fair prices. The view from the tower is awesome! Keep it up!!

Very nice hiking hut, good food with a lot of garlic😉. The little ascent is also fun, could be a bit steeper and longer, but otherwise a recommended hiking trail.

We arrived in June 2019 after a hike for dinner. Have been there earlier, drinks could order outside. Food was very good, lots of garlic, delicious. The entertainment program was very good, the interior fits perfectly with the Baude. Would like to come back, unfortunately, you have to book in time. Well maybe it works again. Not to mention, are the special schnapps. "Krabbeldiewandenuff" or "Schokophilie". And above all, you should climb the tower and enjoy the view. Especially beautiful at sunset. In winter it's definitely great too.

Great food and great atmosphere. For garlic fans a must. A worthwhile destination for every hike. Good cheap meals. Delicious !!!

Good beer, tasty food, nice feeling. The prices are ok. Overall its good to spend some time there.

The restaurant is at the top of the mountain and you can't drive there. So expect an 20 min journey to the mountain top and be greeted by a fantastic view. The restaurant itself serves local specialities and has a part of the menu that is only dedicated to garlic.
